Timesavers for the Classroom, a Giveaway, and a Freebie!

This week as I have read the blogs of my teacher buddies, I was reminded of the hectic nature of the classroom! I can vividly remember the long hours of the first week of school and the exhaustion I felt at the end of every day. The amount of work that a teacher has to accomplish each week is astounding! Some of the mundane tasks that have to be repeated every week or month can get lost in the schedule. So my brain started turning as I thought of how I can help. One task I had to complete each week was create a homework sheet. Some weeks my homework sheet was the cutest with clipart and cool font! But I will be honest, a week filled with IEP meetings or student transfers might mean that the students got Times New Roman centered on a page! shame... shame...

If this is you, I thought you might could use these two items. The first is a template for a weekly homework sheet. I have two versions of this pack: one with a place to put spelling words and the other has a place to list Common Core standards being taught. They both have a section for the nightly homework, an area for parents to initial each night, a special announcements section and a method to personalize it to your classroom! What do you think?

It is in a Powerpoint file so to personalize it, just click the box that I indicate and replace my words with your own! The box will expand as you type. You can also change the font and size of your font as you see fit! This pack includes 40 homework templates, one for every week of the school year, all for $6.50! Take a peek at a few templates that are included:

Just click on any of the pictures to head to my TPT store! Next, I have created 12 Monthly Classroom Newsletter templates that can be used to stay in contact with parents! Parent communication is imperative for a productive classroom environment and this will enable you as the teacher to keep parents "in the know" about what is going on in the classroom. Here is a completed sample!

Again, this is a Powerpoint document that has boxes for you to fill in with your information and updates! It has a place for announcements and even the birthdays of the month. For only $3, you will have a year's worth of monthly newsletter templates. Here is a sneak peek!

Would you like to have these packs? I am offering a giveaway of both! Just join the Rafflecopter! There are several ways to increase your chance to win. The giveaway will be open through Thursday of this week! The winner will get one of the homework template packs of their choice and one of the monthly newsletter template packs! I will announce the winner on Friday and contact them through email. If you don't happen to win, you can get all of these products from two places: my TPT store or my Teacher's Notebook store. Good luck!

Finally, my Freebie today is an Open House product. Teaching Blog Addict has asked for Open House related freebies and I immediately thought of one that I have in my store. This pack is for a five page Open House pack. It includes a triangle table-top sign, a parent sign-in sheet, a student interview sheet, a parent interview sheet and a scavenger hunt game for the new students to explore their room! Hope you can use it!
