Welcome to my little corner of the Bloggersville which I like to call Learning 4 Keeps! I firmly believe that each day is a learning experience. We all learn in different ways; some learn in a large classroom with many peers, while others thrive in a home-school environment. Sometimes experience becomes our task-master and we learn by doing. At any rate, everything we do can be a learning experience if we embrace it as such! Learning 4 Keeps is a place where I share what I am learning and what I hope my girls are learning as we travel the adventurous and sometimes scary terrain of homeschooling. It is also a place where I share some of the resources I hope will be a help to you in your own adventure! Read below to find out more about the fingers behind the blog and let's connect through the social media icons!
I am Leah, wife to a handsome pastor of a beautiful church in Florida. I have had the pleasure of being married to this man for 12 years and I am even more in love with him now than ever!
I am also mother to three beautiful girls! They are such a joy in my life and my heart is to see them be passionate about God, ministry and others.
A few years ago, I was a 1st grade teacher with my certification in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Since then I have made several big changes. For one, I no longer teach in the public school system; instead, I am using my passion for education to teach my own children. This is one of the most intimidating, yet greatest decisions I have ever made! This will be our fourth year of homeschooling and I do not regret our decision!
A couple of years ago, I pursued my own passion of a Higher Education degree and went back to school myself! This past December, I received a Master's in Theological Studies. Woohoo!! I am now debating the possibility of continuing to complete a doctoral program. Still praying about that one!
Recently, I added blogger to my resume and am so excited to connect with others who have like-minded passions. I am now a blogging homeschool teacher to students in K-3, 3rd grade and 6th grade who also helps her husband lead a beautiful church in Florida! Reading is a love, music is a passion, and coffee is a necessity! :)
